1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Klip application ("App") provided by Asterisk AI ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 4 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. License to Use the App

Asterisk AI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App to any third party
• Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its related systems

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must register for an account using your name and email address, or authenticate via a supported third-party sign-in provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@asteriskai.net if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Saved Content & Third-Party Platforms

Klip allows you to save links and thumbnails of content from third-party platforms such as social media sites. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:

• You do not own the saved content — it remains the property of its original creator and platform
• Klip stores only thumbnail previews on its servers; full content is accessed via redirect to the original URL
• You are responsible for ensuring your use of saved content complies with the terms of service of the originating platform
• Asterisk AI is not liable for the availability, accuracy, or legality of any third-party content

6. Payments and In-App Purchases

The App may offer in-app purchases or subscriptions processed through Apple's App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's payment terms. We do not process or store your payment card information directly. All sales are final unless otherwise required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy.

7. Location Services

The App uses your device's location data to provide certain features. By enabling location permissions, you consent to the collection and use of your location as described in our Privacy Policy. You may disable location access at any time in your device settings, which may affect App functionality.

8. Analytics & Data Collection

We use third-party analytics tools to collect usage data including session replays, page views, and interaction data. By using the App, you consent to the collection of such data as described in our Privacy Policy. This data is used solely to improve the App and is not sold to third parties.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are the exclusive property of Asterisk AI or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

10. User Conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
• Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or infringing content
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Circumvent any technical measures designed to protect the App or third-party platforms

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ASTERISK AI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ASTERISK AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Asterisk AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your licence to use the App will immediately cease. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.

15. Digital Services Act (EU)

If you are accessing the App in the European Union, Asterisk AI operates as a trader under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). Our trader contact information is displayed on our App Store product page as required by law. For any DSA-related enquiries, contact us at support@asteriskai.net.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Asterisk AI is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Asterisk AI regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements.
